According to relationship psychologist Corrine Sweet, "During sleep, you cannot fake your body language. This is the time when you are honest, vulnerable and your sleeping position can reveal a lot about your relationship."

Here is we are explained 6 Types of Sleeping Positions.

1. Spooning
How to: One of you is on their part, with the other personality snuggle up behind you.

Cons: While some find the sound of their partner’s heartbeat under their ear calming and relaxing, others might find it distract and annoying, plus it’s not really that comfortable for your neck and your partner is most likely feeling a bit trapped lying on their back all the time.

4. Back to Back
How to: Pretty self instructive – both of you are lying on your sides with your back to each other. Your backs, legs or feet might be touching rarely.

Cons: No need to worry, as long as you’re not too far from each other it’s fine, most couple’s find this position to be the most happy to sleep in. The only con we could think of is maybe rolling and bumping into each other when trying to roll  over onto your back, that could be surprising in the middle of the night and might wake you up.

5. Edges
How to: Both sleep on opposite sides of the bed facing away from each other.
Pros: You both value upset and respect each others personal space. Works perfectly if you two have different resting temperature preferences. For example one prefers to be cooler and sleep only partially under covers and the other likes to be snugly tucked and warm.

Cons: Might signify a frustration in relationship and emotional distance. Might lead to comical tug wars for covers.

6.The Honeymoon Hug
The most intimate of sleeping positions, this is less-common alternative to The Spoon tends to occur during periods where intense feelings are present, such as after lovemaking or the beginning of a relationship. Some couples maintain it throughout their relationship, but, according to Elizabeth Flynn Campbell, a New York psychotherapist, "[the couple] could be overly enmeshed, too dependent on each other to sleep apart."

7.Like Shingles (on a Roof)
This position denotes strong egos and a sense of entitlement, according to Samuel Dunkell, a position that tends to be quite popular. Normally, one partner is laying on their back while the other rests their head on the person's shoulder, making him or her a dependent, compliant partner. Shriley P. Glass notes "there's a high level of trust here," as this snuggling position has a "strengthening sense of comradeship and protection."

8. The Sweetheart's Cradle
A more amped up, intimate version of the above, The Sweetheart's Cradle has one person holding the other instead of having a head simply anchored on a shoulder. What you end up with is a very caring, nurturing, intimate position, creating a sense of protection and safeness.

Now, the thing to keep in mind is that sleeping positions do not define your relationship and no one sleeps in the same position all the time. Most people move in their sleep and might go through all of these in one night. Each and every one of these sleeping positions can be interpret differently and there’s no right or wrong, it’s not exactly rocket science. As long as you’re happy to see each other when you wake up  it’s all that matters.
